Management Policy
The following document includes the Management, Environment, and Sustainability Policies that govern the Santander Exhibition and Conference Centre:
At the Santander Exhibition and Conference Centre, we strive to carry out various projects, instilling in all stakeholders involved in hosting events at our centre the principles of responsible consumption and environmental care, with a strong focus on the development of safe activities. To this end, we have designed different workflows aimed at minimizing actions from the perspective of the centre, the event, and the city to achieve minimal waste and impacts and ensure optimal project management.
There is a widespread commitment to responsible consumption among all stakeholders at our centre: organizing companies, suppliers, and visitors of congresses and events.
Among our quality certifications are the following:
In 2009, the Santander Exhibition and Conference Centre obtained the 'Q' for Tourist Quality, awarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourist Quality (ICTE). This certification brings prestige to its holder, as it demonstrates the business commitment to achieve full customer satisfaction, provide quality service, and ensure professionalism in the organization of congresses and events.
This standard is structured into five service areas: Management, Event Development, Catering, Cleaning, and Maintenance.
The State Representative Platform for People with Physical Disabilities (PREDIF), together with the City Council of Santander, within the framework of actions promoting accessible tourism in the city, has awarded the Santander Exhibition and Conference Centre the Accessible Tourism distinction for its work in improving the accessibility of its facilities and services.
The Santander Exhibition and Conference Centre holds the S certification for Tourism Sustainability due to its commitment to sustainability.
This distinction has been awarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourist Quality (ICTE) after successfully passing an annual external audit, which validates compliance with the technical specification of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in terms of management and delivery of tourism services in the Conference Centre sector.
Annual objectives aligned with the SDGs have been designed, and action plans are in place to achieve them through the allocation of material and human resources, in a constant pursuit of environmentally friendly measures.
